How fast is an email? An email is transmitted to the internet as data or electricity, it travels close to the speed of light, but then we get network congestion and various other bottlenecks so the speed can be a bit slower than if it went out instantly. Everything depends on your bandwith, the bandwith of your server or the server your email is sent from and on the bandwith that the server that you send it too.

I’m pretty sure that the record currently stands at around 150 gigabits per second. If you have no idea what that mean, let me break it down for you. That’s the equivalent to downloading 130 DVD movies in one minute to your home computer! Pretty fast eh!

You can email market to millions of people in a matter of seconds. Email marketing is very important in today day and age. We need to communicate with our customers and tell them what’s going on. If you’re not doing it, you really need to get on the ball and do it! Try it out and contact us.

Toronto PPC Management

As many of you know, I have been in the PPC world for the past little while. I have found that affiliate marketing mixed with PPC is a very safe way to spread out your skills and maximise your revenue. Toronto PPC Management is a place that I have been working with for many clients. I have had a lot of success learning all aspects of PPC with Adam Green of Maple North.

I have learned that PPC Management is a growing business area for many clients. Most companies don’t want to have to hire a full time person to run their ads. Most people try PPC themselves and fail. Why do people fail at PPC and affiliate marketing? It’s really simple, they see someone else do it and think they can do it themselves. They try it, and they lose a lot of money because they have no clue what they are doing.

Hiring a PPC manager is the quickest and easiest way to maximize your money and get the most for your campaign. Yes, you will pay well for this. $500-$3000/month isn’t bad considering you would pay an employee double if not triple that to work for you. If you would like us to consult you with you PPC account, please contact us here.

Getting Started in Email List Management

Email marketing is growing to be a huge sector in the online marketing world. Knowing where to start can be a little fuzzy. First, you need to start with data. You need email lists that are new and up to date. Not to mention that all of them should be can-spam compliant. Besides that you need to have a website that is collecting this info or companies like Adogy that will feed you data consistently.

Prior to list management the only way that you could get people to your site was through optimized PPC Management. Now you control everything by email list management. You can now email millions of people in a few minutes. You can reach new customers for all your products. If you know what you are doing you’ll get 100% inbox with your emails and a 5-10% conversion on those emails. Not to mention, thousands of people coming to your website and purchasing things on it.

Email list management is a growing aspect of online marketing where you can make a lot of money for your business. Try it out and let me know what you think. If you are looking for data, please contact us today!

Affiliate Marketing vs PPC, What Should I Do?

As many of you know I have been trying to perfect my PPC Management skills over the past couple months. I have been working with large clients that spend a lot of money and a ton of smaller clients that don’t spend a lot of money. I have found that the large clients are a HUGE pain in the butt but they bring really good money to the table which brings more money into your pocket. Setting up account for a large ppc client vs a small ppc client isn’t that much more time in the long run. Maybe an hour or two more but not a ton. And the weekly ppc management isn’t a ton more because you have to devote time to it anyways. It really only takes 10 more min a day to manage everything if you are doing everything correctly.

Affiliate marketing in a PPC world can be a bit hard but can work. I have a couple clients that do Affiliate Marketing and others that do PPC on the same site. What I have found is that PPC dominates for the first year (typically) but you will cap out at the number of searches and you are always having to watch the campaign and monetize it. With affiliate marketing your growth is based on how much money you pay affiliates and how well your site converts. Other then that the sky is the limit. All you have to do to get more sales is get more affiliates and pay them well to sell your products and put your banners up online.

PPC vs Affiliate Marketing is hard to determine. If you would like a personal consoltation please contact us here and get a personalized analysis of your website to see which will be better for you.

PPC Management Expert

One thing that I have recently been trying to do is become a PPC Management Expert. I have worked with Adam Green who has been teaching me everything that I know. Adam has been in the PPC Management business for a long time. He has managed several high end clients and driven their company to huge success online.

One of the top things I have learned from Maple North Internet Marketing is the key to a successful campaign is to have an account in working order. You have to have everything in you PPC campaigns organized and operating together synergistically. It’s much like our human body, if everything is working properly we’ll live a long life. If we don’t pay attention to a few little things our body will begin to fall apart. It’s the same with your PPC campaign. If you don’t do certain things it will fall apart in the long run. This like your body will cost you a lot of money and drag down you performance both in the short run and long run.

This is one of the keys to success with any online marketing campaign and I’m very happy that Adam has taught me this. I have been very diligent in setting up new campaigns. I never realized that it takes hours to set up a PPC campaign. All the different groups and keywords in the proper categories is a huge factor in writing the right text and optimizing your keywords.

I recently came across a site called Just A Five. It’s a site where you can buy and sell anything from $5, $10, and $20. It’s SUPER easy to use and very fun to see all the fun jobs that are posted. The best feature about this website is that you get paid to refer your friends. You get 5% of everything they buy and sell for LIFE. I was amazed at how easy it is to sign up and how fun it can be. Not to mention how easy it is to refer your friends and family and get paid for it.

To start off… take a couple of minutes and read through some items people are looking for. These items are listed under “Suggested Jobs” at the right side of the website.
Next, write down a list of things your good at, can do quickly and easily and are of value to others. Maybe your a person that likes to cook with some great recipes or cooking skills, perhaps you have thousands of Twitter or Facebook followers that you can promote business offers or brands… whatever you can do, assign a price to it and post your job on the website.

Tips to Great Job Posts:
- Use good keywords in your Job title
- Tag the job with terms people might search the site for
- Add it in the most appropriate Job category
- Post more than one image that describe your job. If your a graphic designer, this is a great way to showcase your work
- Have a YouTube or Flickr account? Add examples of your work there and post these links in your job
- Be specific in your job description, clearly outline what you will do (and won’t do) for the price
- Keep it simple for the seller, write out what items you need from the seller to do your job and deliver GREAT WORK!

Keys to Success:
- Email your friends (you get paid 5% residual for everyone that signs up)
- Post your Job link on forums
- Tweet about it and reply to topical tweets
- Bookmark it on Digg, Reddit and more
- Update your Skype status to include your job link

Check out Just A Five now!

Best Day to Email Market

This is a question we get all of the time and the answer isn’t always everyone’s favorite. That is because the answer is, that depends. It depends on your list and what and when they want to hear from you. For some businesses Monday is the best day to send, for some it’s Tuesday. I have even met one person whose best time and day to send is Sunday at 6pm because he knows that it will be in-boxed and people will be getting their emails early Monday morning. Your list manager and data should have different days to mail on the data depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

I would recommend that you test it out for yourself. Do a split test for every day of the week and see which one performs the best for you. This will help you determine the best time and day of the week to email. Check out our Top Subject lines page.

Facebook Slams us AGAIN

Yesterday Facebook announced via the developer forum that Facebook Pages now need to be authenticated in order to have landing tabs. WTF, what the hell is this? This basically means any new visitor to your Facebook Page will not be able to land on a custom tab unless you have greater than 10,000 fans or the Page administrator has worked with an ads account representative. I don’t know how many of you have tried to get a hold of anyone at Facebook but it’s impossible. Why would they do this to us? This is going to kill small businesses. Hasn’t Facebook been telling small businesses to come to Facebook to promote their business? Welp, looks like they are screwed now.

This is a massive blow to Page owners who were looking to build their fan base organically on their own. I have found that landing tabs is critical in converting new visitors into fans and prospective customers. Here’s what was posted on the developer forum earlier today:

Hello all,

We apologize for not messaging this earlier. Facebook recently made a change requiring that Pages be authenticated before enabling the ability to set a landing tab beyond Wall or Info. To be eligible for authentication, a Page must have greater than 10k fans or the Page admin must work with their ads account manager. If you are already working with an account representative, please contact that representative to begin the authentication process. If you do not work with an account representative, you can use this contact form to inquire about working with an account representative.

Also, for advertisers who don’t have a representative or 10k fans, and want to run ads and land users on a specific tab, you can still do so with standard Facebook ads by making their Destination URL as the URL incl. your tab. Unfortunately, this currently will not work with “Fan” ads.

Thanks,
Matt Trainer

WTF? Is all Facebook is concerned about is getting more money. This move is going to kill them and kill Facebook Fan Pages. I hate this and am starting to HATE Facebook. I think someone should start a company that says something and sticks with it. Facebook, we are sick of your shit. I don’t know if I told anyone but we started a Facebook fan page 4 years ago called facebook.com/ilovemyfamily We had over 3 million fans. Facebook stole it from us and killed the page. It took us months to finally get an answer from them. Their answer was “it was to general” that’s all they said. WTF… We spend thousands of dollars on pages and had them taken away. Facebook needs to get their act together or people will rebel and shut them down. It’s US who helps Facebook grow, it’s US that keeps you in business. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

So I have been reading a book recently called “Make Money Online: Roadmap of a dot com mogul” for the past week or two. I have read several sections of the book twice because I have been fascinated by them while other sections of the book I have struggled to get through. Honest opinion would be to buy the book, it’s available on Amazon.

Although the writer seems like a very arrogant person, I do agree with a lot he has to say in the book. My favorite chapter would be the one on content. I have always thought that ‘content is key’ and it rules all other things. This book dives into content and how to get the best. He recommends that you come up with really great ideas and write about them. That you can even write about things that readers put up on your blog and blog posts. The more unique content you have is better. I have typically written post on my blog to get good SEO. I have found that the best blog post that I have written have been unique to my websites, with a ton of unique content always help me and usually have all the SEO content in the article anyways.

I have never even thought about trading list management articles with other sites like ours. This is another great idea in the book. Later in the book he talks about SEO strategies and performance marketing tips for your blog. His “Six favorite linking strategies” are another great resource for anyone with a website. I don’t want to give you to much info because I want you to learn for yourself. Go buy the book yourself and check it out! Like I said earlier in the book, he may seem very arrogant but he’s good at what he does… so listen to it!
