AutoFollowers on Twitter

AutoFollowers on Twitter

I don’t think anyone should pretend that they don’t care about how many followers you have on Twitter. If you have found this article, it’s because you DO care and you’re most likely trying to increase your amount of followers.   It’s totally normal and there are many people that want the same thing as you.

Adding these  Twitter users who will auto-follow or follow you back will not do you much good because they are not genuinely interested in your tweets. Like you, they mostly want to collect massive amounts of followers.  Which for the most part is alright, but don’t expect them to click on every link you put infront of them.

You’re obviously free to do whatever you want with this list but you will hopefully not use it to twamm (Twitter spam) people. I guess Twitter users are smart enough to recognize twammers and block them anyways…  Check out Twitter Apps and Cool Tricks post for more on Auto Following on twitter.

How to get more a lot more Twitter followers that Auto-follow you? Start following these people!

Want to Be Added to This List?

Put a comment on this blog with your twitter address @whatever and I will add you to this list.  The bigger the list is, the more followers that you will get.  Make sure that you auto follow people.  If you don’t you will be take off this list and I’ll report you just to spite you!

If you’re already a nominee or forgot to grab the Search & Social Awards badges? Check their badges page.

I don’t have time to read all the blog posts out there but I do love learning about all the Affiliate and performance based marketing blogs out there.  I mainly voted in the Affiliate realm.  I chose Affiliate Tip Blog as my only number one vote with 5 out of 5!  Check out Affiliate Tips Blog and you can totally see why I choose that one.  Among my top 3 I would choose ShoeMoney‘s blog and John Chow‘s blog. Sorry everyone else, I didn’t even vote for you because I don’t read your blog more than once a month.

Email Marketing List

Email Marketing List

I’ve talked about how the most important parts of your email are your subject line and your from label, but without the proper list to send your email marketing campaign to, you’re outta luck. You can have the best offer and the prettiest content, but if your target is off, your response rates will be too.

So what are a few things to think about when selecting your lists to maximize your rates? The first thing you’ll want to do is look at the make up of your lists.

Previous Customers

Previous customers will give you your best response rate, especially the ones who have purchased from you recently.

The key here is to look at what these people have purchased, and get them to either buy more of the same, or cross sell them other products or services that make sense.Then track their response separately so you can look at response rate trends over time.

Key Takeaway: Track these people separately and find the ones who HAVEN’T purchased in a long time, then do a win-back email campaign. Getting a previous customer to buy again is a lot cheaper than getting a new customer!

People You Have a Relationship With

You may have met someone at an event or visitors to your site showed some sort of interest in your business. They will probably give you your second best response. If you’ve collected business cards from people or they’ve filled out some sort of form on your website, these people have definitely had some sort of interaction with you. They’ll never respond like your customers so your key is to move them to the customer bucket with great offers or something actionable.

Key Takeaway: Keep the funnel full! Always have a way to get leads and always be moving them through the purchase process. If you’ve got a great newsletter with really good content, have a version for the folks who aren’t yet customers with a special offer for them to convert.

People Who You’ve Never Met

First of all it’s very questionable whether you should be mass emailing these types of people and most Email Service Providers won’t actually let you do this. These people may have not heard of your company and could likely be put off by you sending them unsolicited email. Then not only will you have a negative reaction to your business, even worse, they could tell their friends about their experience.

Key Takeaway – Don’t send unsolicited email, you’ll just wind up getting your business in trouble. You might want to try either renting a postal list of potential prospects or looking at a list of leads you might have acquired over the years. Then send them a postcard. In the postcard you can direct them to the web and give them a great offer or a free download so they’ll move into the first two lists.

Your list is the most important part of your email marketing campaign, what are you doing to cultivate it?

Dedication

Dedication

In order for one to achieve breakthrough results in any arena, he or she must possess the necessary motivation for accomplishing significant tasks, despite any obstacles that he or she may encounter along the way. As a general rule, a person’s level of motivation is even more of a contributing factor to someone’s success than his or her capabilities, talent, or experience. This rule applies to achievements in all areas of life, whether through affiliate marketing either professional, or personal.

Day by day, we all search for the motivation that we need to accomplish our tasks and achieve our goals. On some days, that inspiration and ambition may come easily. On others, it may be so elusive that we give up looking and do only what we must in order to just barely scrape by; we have all had our fair share of days like this.

There are numerous strategies and techniques that people use in an effort to get fired up when they have a case of the doldrums.  Although many are largely ineffective, numerous others are highly effective. Of all those that I have found that work, I have found none to be able to work more wonders in shorter a period of time than the reading of a good quote.

A wisely chosen and properly applied quote is a powerful thing indeed. It can lend credibility to the expression of one’s point of view, impart ages of wisdom in just a few words, comprehensively and succinctly communicate one’s meaning, change someone’s opinion or perspective and, yes, it can even provide unparalleled motivation to those who have become stagnant or too fearful to forge ahead.

I advise you to scour the internet for some quotes that you find particularly inciting. Print them out and post them to a bulletin board. Have some printed on your mouse pad and coffee mugs. Write them on sticky notes and place them in places with high visibility. Whenever you are stuck in a rut, read the quotes that you have chosen and allow them to rejuvenate you and give you some “oomph!” As Lord Byron said,

“In reading authors, when you find
Bright passages that strike your mind,
And which perhaps you may have reason
To think on at another season;
Be not contented with the sight,
But jot them down in black and white;
Such respect is wisely shown
As makes another’s thought your own.”

Having your own website is not easy and never has been.  It’s taken a lot of patience and work.

There are many thousands of affiliate programs out there, all claiming to be the best. Some of them will give you the impression that all you have to do is implement their banners and links and wait for the commission checks to start rolling in. This CAN be the case, but this scenario usually only applies to very large sites with massive web traffic that is relevant to product or service on offer. For most of us, being a successful affiliate requires a little more work!

As the range of goods and online services offered via the Internet has grown at an incredible rate over the last few years, therefore so has the competition. Web site visitors need to have a very good reason for clicking on a link or banner.  Make your site the best at what you do.  Your Affiliate Marketing Program requires dedication and hard work.

Increase Your Twitter/Facebook/YouTube Followers

The concept is simple… pay these advertising networks to bring new followers to your Twitter/Facebook/YouTube account . I have wanted to do this for a long time but have held back because I think some of these services are a big waste of time.  After reading Zac Johnson’s Blog post I decided that I would take the plunge and do it!

First I had to go out and find what services are available. The best way of doing this is just going to Google and searching “buy twitter followers“. You will get a big mess of results.

For this Twitter Follower case study, let’s use 10,000 followers as the price point and what I will order for each Twitter account.

Here is a list of paid Twitter services and their rates.
BuyTwitterFriends.com = 10,000 Followers for $49.99 (0.0049 each)
PurchaseTwitterFollowers.com = 10,000 Followers for $59.99 (0.0059 each)
TweetSourcer.com = 10,000 Followers for $60.00 (0.006 each)
UnlimitedTwitterFollowers.com = 10,000 Followers for $74.95 (0.0074 each)
Twitter1k.com = 5,000 Followers for $104.97 (0.0209 each)
SocialKik.com = 10,000 Followers for $150.00 (0.015 each)
USocial.net = 10,000 Followers for $447.30 (0.044 each)

The two that I bolded are the accounts that I decided to pay money to, to get followers.  With BuyTwitterFriends.com I decided to go with 10,000 followers and with SocialKik.com I decided to go with 500 new Facebook Fan Page.  We’ll have to see how they both work out.  I am hoping for the best.  Adogy Facebook Fan Page is the page.  You can all go check it and see if this really worked!

Search And Conversation are the New Focus of YouTube Redesign

YouTube began pushing out the site’s redesign Wednesday after testing the format since January. The cleaner, stripped-down version, which comes after a year of planning, more closely resembles the style and design of pages from parent company Google.

The changes might seem subtle at first, but that’s only because the site sports a cleaner look. Metrics from preliminary tests that YouTube ran earlier this year suggest that overall video playbacks with the redesign rose 6%. People stay on the site 7% longer to view and comment longer. The cleaner design also helps pages load faster.

The redesign also considers content owners. The site encourages conversation between the content owners and site visitors. People can now ask questions and have the person who uploaded the video comment under the Uploader Comments section. The best rated comment rises to the top.

Hover over the Views tab to reveal stats on the video. If a video owner creates multiple videos they now serve-up on the top of the page without cluttering the sides with links and thumbnails. The site also lets content owners brand videos with a profile and a logo above each video player.

Although the site encourages community and conversation, YouTube has yet to implement the open-source Salmon protocol, which would allow people to share comments across multiple social sites without leaving the page.  This would greatly help for their list management purposes.

Speed Up Your Website

Speed Up Your Website

Reduces HTTP requests

Significantly decreases the roundtrips between browser and server, reducing page load times.

Adogy packs multiple JavaScript files into a single file, packs multiple CSS files into a single file, creates CSS spritesets from JPEG, PNG and GIF images. Packing files significantly decreases the roundtrips between browser and server, reducing page load times

Compresses page resources

Minifies and gzips resources, reducing page load times and decreasing data traffic. Gzip compression can be applied to HTML, JavaScript, CSS files to reduce file size, compression is automatically turned off if the browser or corporate firewall doesn’t support Gzip compression.

Increases caching

Caches optimized resources on the server so optimizing only happens once per page.

The first time a page is produced; the resources are optimized and cached on the server making subsequent page requests faster. The server cache is refreshed at set intervals and can be configured to refresh some resources at different intervals – e.g.: for news feeds or dynamically changing content.

JavaScript, CSS and static images are cached on the browser using far-future-expires headers. The cache is refreshed whenever resources change on the server.

Optimizes image combining and inlining

Multiple images referenced in the HTML file are combined into single files using CSS sprites. Far-future-expiry dates are set on images so they remain cached on the client until they change.

One image file type is produced for each image type – PNG, GIF and JPG. Optionally, GIF files can optionally be converted into PNG files and JPG compression can optionally be increased.

CSS images can either be inlined inside the CSS file, reducing the HTTP requests (but increasing the CSS file size), or included in the spriteset by adding a directive in the CSS file.

Static images are set with far-future-expires so they are cached by the browser, dynamically generated images can be excluded from the spritesets and browser caching.

Optimizes JavaScript combining

Multiple JavaScript files are packed into a single file, with full configuration over which files are packed (head, body or both), where they are placed in the HTML, and the ability to exclude JavaScript files that are location, name or state dependent.

JavaScript is minified, removing whitespace and redundant characters. Far-future-expiry dates are set so the optimized JavaScript is cached by the browser until it changes.

Maintains browser & search engine compatibility

Optimizations are turned on or off depending on the capabilities of the browser.

With full support for Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and all search engines. Should gracefully degrades, handling unsupported browsers by returning the original page.

Supports common JavaScript frameworks

Unsupported frameworks can be included or excluded from packing. Adogy has built-in support for AJAX, Microsoft SharePoint 2007, DotNetNuke, EPiServer, Microsoft CRM and common JavaScript frameworks. Unsupported frameworks can be included or excluded from packing.

Supports dynamic content

Frequently changing content (like newsfeeds) can be excluded from optimization or refreshed periodically.
